Marketing Intern

We are excited to announce our Marketing Intern opening located in Newark, NJ! Integrity House is seeking a highly motivated, creative, and organized Marketing Intern to enhance its marketing and communications activities. This position is a great opportunity to not only develop a wide range of marketing skills, but to also make a difference in the lives of people who use drugs (PWUD), individuals experiencing mental health conditions, and people experiencing socioeconomic challenges. Primary Duties and Responsibilities of the Marketing Intern

  • Assist with content creation for a variety of marketing activities, including social media posts, external updates, blog posts, and the website.
  • Assist with the development and distribution of the monthly newsletter to staff.
  • Support social media campaigns by drafting and scheduling content, and monitoring audience engagement across platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and X.
  • Collaborate with the marketing manager to create collateral (e.g., flyers, brochures, etc.) using tools like Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Assist with the ideation, planning, and execution of digital and traditional marketing campaigns aimed at increasing brand awareness and engagement among prospective clients, referral sources, community partners, and donors.
  • Support marketing activities for community health events, educational webinars, and agency events.
  • Assist in maintaining an inventory of promotional materials for staff recruitment and engagement, community outreach, and key stakeholders.
  • Research opportunities for collaboration with local organizations, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.
  • Help identify and leverage new marketing channels and tactics such as video and influencer marketing.
  • Provide general administrative support to the marketing and development department by maintaining the content calendar, managing databases, and organizing assets.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

  • Currently pursuing or have recently obtained a bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, public relations, or another relevant field.
  • At least one year of relevant experience.
  • Passion for or strong interest in mental health, addiction treatment, and/or public health.

Specialized Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:

  • Strong writing skills with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
  • Extremely detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools like Constant Contact, Hootsuite, and Google Analytics.
  • Working knowledge of graphic design tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience using Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Docs, etc.).
  • Ability to quickly develop an understanding of Integrity House’s various programs and services.

Schedule: 20-24 hours per week/flexible schedule
