We are excited to announce our Maintenance Technician opening! The Maintenance Technician is a key member of the Maintenance team who is responsible for coordinating and working on routine and/or emergency maintenance and repairs of buildings and equipment. The Maintenance Technician coordinates and supervises Integrity’s outside contractors working on-site and manages and assists with tasks on construction projects throughout the agency.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician:
- Timely response to maintenance problems reported by programs and facility director
- Troubleshoot maintenance issues, identify problems, formulate and execute plans of correction
- Serves as member of the maintenance team, making repairs as needed and oversee activities of client-based maintenance crew
- Follow-up and monitoring of previously assigned work and/or repairs
- Serves as a member of the construction crew on minor renovation projects. (This includes carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, floor installing, and other skilled trades)
- Maintains open line of communication with supervisor concerning project issues and progress
- Oversees and coordinate work contracted to outside vendors/contractors
- Purchasing of materials and tools as necessary to address maintenance issues
- Proper care and maintenance of Integrity tools, equipment, and supplies
- Follow and implement all Integrity, Inc. policies and procedures
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned based on operational/agency needs
Education, Experience and Qualifications for a Maintenance Technician:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid NJ Driver’s License
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar maintenance position
- Established proficiency in at least one of the following areas and general familiarity with others: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, tiling, and other trades
- Effective communication, written and verbal; fluent in English language (Bi-lingual a plus)
- Basic computer proficiency
- Accurate record keeping
- Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
- Ability to focus on details but not lose sight of the bigger picture
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:00pm
