We are excited to announce our Certified Recovery Support Practitioner (CRSP) opening in Newark, NJ! The Certified Recovery Support Practitioner (CRSP) provides direct support to the consumer and their natural supports, including wellness and recovery support services, psychoeducation, group facilitation, advocacy, crisis intervention, community integration, and skill development. Assists the team in coordinating care with other service providers in the Agency or community. Participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team to ensure the provision of services and referral and linkage related to social determinants of health.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities of a Certified Recovery Support Practitioner (CRSP):
- The Peer Recovery Support Specialist is someone who has lived experience with emotional or mental distress and who has actively engaged in a process of self-discovery and/or recovery related to those struggles.
- Fulfills the objectives of the Coordinated Specialty Care model.
- Serve as the team lead on engaging consumers in WRAP.
- Facilitates psycho-educational groups for consumers on a variety of topics relating to wellness and recovery.
- Offers on-site as well as outreach services (including transport of consumers)
- Fulfills case management services, including, but not limited to direct linkages to services, service coordination, treatment enrollment assistance, etc.
- Communicates observations and information about the consumer in the consumer’s service record and to team members.
- Promotes a culture of CSC and CIS care in the Northern Region of New Jersey
- Participates in weekly supervision and team meetings.
Preferred Qualifications of a Licensed Counselor:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Two (2) years of experience in a related work or life experience, or preferred prior employment working as peer support, Certified Wellness Coach, and/or Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner with experience completed or must complete the Consumer Connections Training.
- CRSP certification.
- A NJ driver’s license is required.
Work Schedule
This is a part-time position; the employee’s work schedule will be determined based on organizational needs.
