Since 1968, Integrity House has helped tens of thousands of men and women rebuild their lives from the disease of addiction.
As one of the largest non-profit providers of substance use disorder treatment in NJ, Integrity House’s mission is to help individuals and families through an effective and measurable system of comprehensive Therapeutic Community addictions treatment, mental health treatment, and recovery support in a way that brings about positive, long-term, lifestyle change. Our CARF accredited and DMHAS licensed outpatient, residential and supportive housing programs coupled with support services make long-term recovery possible for our clients.

History
In the mid-60’s, Dave Kerr, a Newark parole officer, recognized the need for a support system to help the individuals on his caseload with addiction. He created a support system to meet the needs of his parolees. One-on-one discussions would lead to group counseling sessions and eventually to the development of a social club in Belleville, NJ.
Richard Grossklaus began his work at the club by securing a more permanent site for these meetings. His search would begin in Newark.
Dave and Rich gave up their jobs to continue this life-saving work without compensation. In August of 1968, Integrity House received non-profit status as Integrity, Inc.
