Integrity House Awarded Grant to Launch Services for Gambling Addiction

The New Jersey Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services (NJ DMHAS) has awarded Integrity House a grant to establish a specialized program for individuals experiencing a gambling addiction. This innovative program will address the complex challenges faced by individuals experiencing gambling addiction in a compassionate, holistic setting.

Compulsive gambling, often referred to as gambling addiction, is a serious condition that frequently coexists with other substance use disorders or mental health conditions furthering the challenges of early recovery. Individuals suffering from gambling addiction often experience conditions such as depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, and personality disorders. This new program aims to provide comprehensive treatment for these co-occurring conditions, fostering long-term recovery and improved mental well-being.

Led by Integrity House’s Senior Program Director, Tara Rogers, LCSW, LCADC, the program will feature specialized services delivered by a dedicated clinician, Eric Hamilton, LSW. Eric brings extensive expertise in addressing substance use disorders and associated mental health challenges. The initiative will be further supported by Specialized Project Manager Silvester Oluokun, MEd, LPC, ACS, who will oversee the program’s implementation and ensure its success.

“We are honored to receive this grant from NJ DMHAS and excited to expand our services to address compulsive gambling and its intersection with other mental health and substance use issues,” said Rogers. “This program reflects our ongoing commitment to providing holistic and evidence-based care to individuals in need.”

The Gambling Disorder Program will utilize an integrated approach to treatment, addressing the root causes of gambling addiction while simultaneously providing support for co-occurring conditions. Through individualized counseling, group therapy, and evidence-based practices, the program will empower individuals to achieve recovery and rebuild their lives.

Services will be available in March 2025. Call (973) 623-0600 or email info@integrityhouse.org to learn more.
