Chief Clinical Officer Eman Gibson Appointed As At-Large Director to the National Council for Mental Wellbeing Board

Chief Clinical Officer, Eman Gibson, MBA, LCSW, LCADC has been appointed as an At-Large Director on the Board of The National Council for Mental Wellbeing (The National Council).

In addition to her role as Chief Clinical Officer at Integrity House, Gibson serves on the Professional Advisory Committee for the New Jersey Department of Human Services, Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services, and is a surveyor for the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). She was selected to co-author the 4th edition of the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria, specifically the residential standards for adults; and is currently serving as co-author for the adolescent standards.  Gibson is Vice Chair of the Addiction Practice Group within the New Jersey Association of Mental Health & Addiction Agencies (NJAMHAA), Treasurer for the New Jersey branch of American Society of Addiction Medicine (NJ-SAM), and Chair of the Standards & Accreditation Committee of Treatment Communities of American (TCA).

The organization Mental Health First Aid has trained more than 3 million individuals to connect youth and adults in need to mental health and addictions care in their communities. Through funding from SAMHSA, the National Council operates the Center of Excellence for Integrated Health Solutions, and The National Council runs the CDC’s National Behavioral Health Network for Tobacco and Cancer Control.
