Integrity House has been awarded a Pathways to Recovery grant from the New Jersey Department of Labor to launch a two-year workforce development and career placement program that will serve at least 200 individuals across Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris, Passaic, Sussex and Warren counties.
The program is designed to support individuals who have been impacted by opioid use disorder (OUD), with a particular focus on those currently experiencing OUD or at risk of developing the disorder. Through career training, employment services and individualized support, participants will gain the skills and resources needed to pursue meaningful employment and long-term stability.
Participants will have access to training opportunities in high-demand fields, including peer recovery support, healthcare, skilled trades, security, logistics and food services. The program will also provide job placement assistance to help participants transition into sustainable careers.
Recognizing that successful employment often requires more than job training alone, the initiative also offers a wide range of supportive services to help participants overcome barriers to success. Available resources include GED preparation, basic skills education, childcare assistance, transportation services, legal assistance, and access to behavioral health and substance use treatment.
