COUNSELOR INTERN
Prevention Department

 

Since 1968, Integrity, Inc has provided comprehensive and successful rehabilitation services for individuals with substance abuse disorder. We are CARF accredited and are recognized nationwide as a leader in addiction services. We are seeking a Counselor Intern in our Newark location. The incumbent is responsible for providing group and individual case management for student-members with substance abuse and/or behavioral problems in a Therapeutic Community setting.  Other responsibilities include providing HIV/AIDS, group level interventions and comprehensive risk counseling services.

 

Requirements

  • GED or High School Diploma.
  • Minimum of one year experience in HIV/AIDS prevention services.
  • Knowledge of HIV/AIDS and its effects on individuals and families.
  • Understanding of prevention services.
  • Solid counseling skills (individual and group), and effective communication skils.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred
  • Comprehension of case management and record keeping activities.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic community a plus.

We are CARF accredited and are recognized nationwide as a leader in addiction services. We are seeking a Counselor in our Newark location. The incumbent is responsible for providing group and individual case management for student-members with substance abuse and/or behavioral problems in a Therapeutic Community setting.  Other responsibilities include representing Integrity’s multidisciplinary treatment team’s clinical opinion in court hearings for student members, in multi-agency team meetings, and other external meetings as required.

 

Requirements

  • CADC, LAC, LSW
  • Undergraduate Degree in Human/ Social Services or related field.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in human services fieldwork
  • In-depth knowledge of the causes and effects of drugs/alcohol and addiction on individuals and families.
  • Understanding of crisis management.
  • Understanding of addictions recovery and 12-steps.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish)
  • Capability in needs and risk assessment.
  • Comprehension of case management and record keeping activities.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic community a plus.

This is an entry level job, with the potential to progress into a position in the counselor job structure.

Counselor Tech are responsible for overseeing random urine samples, transporting clients, bringing meals to program location and various additional tasks outlined by the program lead.

Work shifts available are as follows:

Long-Term Residential TC Program                                
Mon-Friday

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalency required and up to one years’ experience in a human social services environment.

  • Effective communication (verbal, written and listening) skills and fluency of English language.
  • Ability to establish solid working relationships with integrity’s clients and co-workers, and have the capability to exercise rational judgment in an emergency and have knowledge
  • Bi-lingual Spanish (preferred but not required)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word
  • A valid NJ driver’s license is a plus
  • Knowledge of therapeutic community is plus

CARE COORDINATORS

We are CARF accredited and are recognized nationwide as a leader in addiction services. We are seeking a Facility Coordinators in our Secaucus location. This is an entry level job, with the potential to progress into a position in the counselor job structure.

Facility Coordinators are responsible for maintaining a safe living environment in the facility through regular head counts, runs of the building and grounds, constant alertness of student member activities, adherence to a daily schedule, and documentation of facility incidents.

Work shifts available are as follows:

TC Program
Friday & Saturday 11pm -11am
Monday & Friday 6pm – 11pm

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalency required and up to one years’ experience in a human social services environment.

  • Customer service or security officer function preferred.
  • Effective communication (verbal, written and listening) skills and fluency of English language.
  • Ability to establish solid working relationships with Integrity’s clients and co-workers, and have the capability to exercise rational judgment in an emergency and have knowledge
  • Bi-lingual Spanish (preferred but not required)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word
  • Possessing a valid driver’s license is a plus
  • Knowledge of therapeutic community is a plus
