Integrity House’s Newark adult residential, adolescent residential and administrative buildings face the beautiful Lincoln Park. The park is maintained by our student-members throughout the year.
The Intake Department in Integrity House coordinates admissions for the adult residential, adolescent residential (Newark only) methadone-to-abstinence (Secaucus only), intensive outpatient, and regular outpatient treatment programs. To apply for admission into any of the above mentioned programs, a client must first contact an admissions counselor and conduct a brief phone screening to establish eligibility. Eligibility requirements are listed below. If the client is deemed eligible for treatment, he or she will be invited to participate in a face-to-face pre-assessment interview with an admissions counselor. The information collected during the interview session (i.e. drug use history, medical and mental health status) is used to determine the client’s clinical appropriateness for entry into a specific level of care. He or she must provide medical and mental health records showing suitability for treatment at the time of pre-assessment or within a specified time-frame thereafter. Admissions decisions are withheld until applicable medical and mental health documents are received, reviewed by our medical department, and approved. When the client is deemed “clinically acceptable” and all necessary documentation is approved, he or she is scheduled for admission.
Referral Sources: We accept self referrals and second-party referrals from the following legal agencies, funding sources, community organizations, and other referral sources:

Individuals seeking treatment who are incarcerated in county correctional facilities are encouraged to apply for admission via mail or phone. We recommend that such individuals write to the Integrity House – Intake Department to request a written application for treatment in lieu of the initial phone screening. The request letter should include demographic and other pertinent information such as name, age, gender, and desired level of care. The address is as follows:

Intake Department
Integrity House – Secaucus
595 County Avenue
Secaucus, NJ 07094
Upon receipt of his or her request for treatment services, an admissions counselor will send the application form to the individual. He or she must complete the application in detail and return it to the Intake Department. An admissions counselor will then respond to the individual with specific instructions as to how to request a face-to-face pre-assessment interview through an attorney/public defender or jail social worker. If the applicant is denied transportation to our facility for the interview, an admissions counselor will conduct an over-the-phone pre-assessment interview with him or her. The individual must then sign consent forms authorizing the medical or medical records department in the jail to send applicable medical and mental health records to the Intake Department at Integrity House. If the incarcerated individual is deemed eligible and appropriate for treatment, an admissions counselor will contact his or her public defender or attorney to arrange transportation to our facility for admission.
To request admission into the either the Secaucus or Newark facilities, you must call the Intake Dept. and request an in person interview with an intake coordinator to determine your circumstances. You can contact the Intake Department through the phone numbers listed at the bottom of this page.
